Is my backyard big enough?

 Is your yard right for a pool? 

 

It’s important to consider the size, shape, slope, and access to your yard before deciding to build. We will also need to obtain any and all potential setbacks, easements, and HOA restrictions that might apply.

 

How long does it take to build a pool?

 

It is difficult to quote an exact time frame for pool construction due to many variables, such as weather, inspections, and the complexity of the project. Most pools are completed within 6 weeks once permitting and financing are approved. Depending on the size, depth, and features, every pool will be different. An in-ground pool will typically take around 60-90 days to complete construction. No matter your chosen design, features, or needs, Aqua Blue will develop a construction schedule and plan that works for you. For an average sized pool and spa which is about 400 Sq. Ft. for the pool and about 40 Sq. Ft. for the spa it takes about 5 to 6 weeks. However, there are many different variables involved such as weather, ground conditions, tractor access, complex features such as vanishing edges, stone work, landscaping and even masonry work outside the pool such as fireplaces or BBQ’s. If possible, we like to make sure the pool plaster is the last phase, that way we don’t get any construction debris in the pool water.

 

How long does it take to properly clean a pool?

 

With innovative technology and equipment today, owning a pool is easier than ever. Most owners will choose some sort of automation to operate their pool, which will be set on a consistent schedule. You can estimate to spend 5-10 minutes per week doing minimal pool maintenance or you may opt to have our maintenance department clean your pool weekly, so all you have to do is spend your time relaxing. While there is a myriad of pool equipment available on the market, there is some equipment that we recommend. You will need a pump and a filter to help maintain the cleanliness and clarity of your pool. You will also need a means of chlorinating your pool for sanitation purposes—we can help you determine whether you should choose to install a chlorine generator, have a professional come to maintain chemical levels, or do it yourself. Every pool will require some personal maintenance, but with these features, you can enjoy your pool with little worry.

 

Does it increase the value of my home?

 

Yes. Most studies show that a pool will increase the value of your home anywhere between 5% and 15% and tremendously aids in the resale of your home to prospective buyers.

 

How long does it take to refurbish my pool?

 

The length of time a pool will be under construction for renovation is directly related to the extent of the work we are performing. Pools that are being refinished with plaster, Sunstone or a Pebble finish can be operational faster. Pools that require tile and coping or are being extensively remodeled require additional construction time. Be assured that when a project commences Aqua Blue will make every effort to consistently move the job along and complete your project in a timely manner.

 

Is the new construction messy or tough in my yard?

 

While our crews make every attempt to minimize the impact upon the area surrounding your pool, a remodel site can be dusty. We therefore recommend that pool furniture and potted plants be moved away from the pool area while construction is in progress. It is also suggested that windows be kept shut near the pool for the duration of the pool remodel.

 

Do I need a barrier around my pool?

 

When adding, updating, or even purchasing a home with a swimming pool, it is important to consider pool safety. There are many safety barriers available on the market that can enhance your pools look while making it a safe area for children, pets, and guests.

If you have young children or pets, we highly recommend the latest in safety barriers.

 

Can I change the depth of my pool?

 

Yes! First we will require a pool inspection to determine the scope of the project, but most pool shapes and depths can be renovated.
